LGPD and Data Protection

Learn how we apply the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) on this site.

Privacy principles

Law No. 13,709/2018, known as the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), defines rules for the processing of personal data in Brazil. Our commitment is to follow the principles of necessity, purpose, transparency, and security, avoiding unnecessary data collection and protecting any information that may be processed.

Processing of images and files

Our converter was designed to minimize personal data processing. The WebP and HEIC images you choose to convert are processed locally, directly in your browser, without upload to servers controlled by us. In this way, we do not collect or store uploaded images, significantly reducing exposure to sensitive data.

Browsing data and cookies

Anonymized browsing data may be collected for statistical and advertising purposes, such as pages visited, device type, and time spent on site. This data is not used to identify users individually, but to understand how the site is used and optimize ad delivery, especially through platforms such as Google AdSense.

Cookie usage is detailed in our Cookie Policy, and you can manage consent through the banner shown when you access the site.

Your rights as a data subject

Under the LGPD, you have several rights regarding your personal data, including:

  • Confirmation that personal data is being processed;
  • Access to any personal data being processed;
  • Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
  • Anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data;
  • Data portability to another service provider, when applicable;
  • Information about data sharing with public or private entities;
  • Revocation of consent and information about the possibility of refusing it;
  • Objection to processing carried out on other legal bases when the law is not being complied with.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will carefully review each request in light of the applicable legislation.

Data security and retention

We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect any browsing data that may be collected. Data is kept only for as long as necessary to fulfill the stated purposes, such as usage analysis and ongoing service improvement, or as required by law.

Since we do not store the images submitted for conversion, those files are not retained in our systems.

International compliance

For global visitors, our privacy practices are also aligned with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in California, including transparency, rights of access, deletion, and lawful processing wherever applicable.
